I am a part-time lecturer in education and completing my PhD. My research interest can be summed up in this quotation from the book 'Starting Points' (Banwell, Saunders and Tahta, 1986) - "What is the role of the teacher? How can he[she] create the conditions in which creative and independent work can take place?" (p.18).
