About
I am the newly appointed director of the Interface Analysis Centre (IAC), an independent URC within the Faculty of Science at the University of Bristol. The IAC is a fully equipped technical centre specialising in surface and materials analysis. We boast a multi-million pound range of analytical instruments at our disposal, maintained by highly skilled and dedicated technical staff.
My research background is in radionuclide chemistry, specifically uranium oxidation, corrosion and geochemistry. Active interests also include the metallurgy of uranium and geochemistry of iron and iron bearing minerals for the uptake and environmental remediation of heavy metals and radionuclides.
